This enabled me to offer not-for-profits free promotion of all their activities, fund raising efforts and national campaigns. I was contacted to set up the distribution for Advant Card to Canberra and surrounding areas - I made the decision to sell Bravo! to focus on other career aspirations, the business is still operating and now re-named SPY Promotions. • Australian Livestock Exporters' Council (ALEC)

      Jun 2019 - Feb 2022
      Communications and Media Director

As the Communications and Media Director, I was required to develop strategies, tactics and materials that enabled ALEC and its members to effectively respond to the media and stakeholders (internal and external) in a challenging public relations and community communication environment. It was essential that I was self-motivated and had the ability to create and respond to a wide variety of issues across a wide range of media platforms aggressively and creatively. Issues often broke suddenly and required intensive defensive and offensive management with the ability to remain calm and collected under intense pressure. As part of a small team, I was required to be pro-active and hands on, having the ability to respond swiftly, while not losing focus on competing priorities and higher-level communications. The role included copywriting, editing, creative briefing, art direction, brand management, speech writing, presentations, social media activity, video materials and producing content for all communications tools. I also set up ALEC's partnership program creating additional revenue streams and corporate support for the live export industry. The major partner is Nutrien Ag Solutions who supported the Young Livestock Exporter of the Year and as part of the partnership negotiations we set up insurance with the live export stockies. Gaining insurance had been an issue for many years and the cost was unreachable for many - I negotiated an affordable and extensive policy option which remains in place. As part of this role, I created a Media Gallery to show the current industry and to enable Media outlets to gain access to present day images for articles.
