  Employed by Kimberley Clarke originally as a forklift driver to unload B-Doubles, I was promoted through all areas of the business to become a level 4 Supervisor. I was trained by possibly the most efficient supply chain team I have ever had the pleasure of working with. A stocktake of over $2,000,000.00 resulted in a $10.00 dollar variance on the 1st count. So impressed where the American owners that when implementing a new ERP system around the world, our distribution centre at Acacia Ridge was used to test systems and create procedures for all depots. I am proud to have done well in such a high quality environment and still use techniques learnt such as. Downloading orders from Coles, WW etc, creating loads and booking timeslots to make daily delivery runs for semi’s as well as local deliveries. Cross referencing good inwards to orders taken so stock could be taken straight from unloading to despatch dock instead of storage.. Cyclic counting at receipt of goods as well as by grade of part.   Originally employed by Western Star/Man in 2002 to unload containers on a casual basis, I was given full time work and was constantly promoted during my 12 years of service. I learnt all areas of their large parts distribution business both National and International, was promoted to leading hand and again to 21C. Further promotion saw me take over as International and Local Purchasing Officer for MAN Truck and Bus. Due to system revamps and upgrades, my experience was required again in the PDC to train staff in all areas of warehousing including RF Scanning. Here I was awarded for total cost improvement initiatives implemented in all areas. I was later to move into Warranty where I looked after large contracts like the Brisbane City Council Gas Busses and was in charge of MANCATS diagnostic systems nationally. My largest achievements at Western Star/MAN include. 12 years’ service. Constant promotion for hard work and good ethic. Knowledge of the complete supply chain from parts procurement and analysis through to all general warehouse duties including despatch, receipt, stocktake, cycle counts and forklift operation. Award for Total Cost and Continuous Improvement initiatives . Ability to train staff and communicate with all levels from suppliers and management through to warehouse staff and casuals. Show less

  Senior Inventory Controller

  Employed by Beaumont Transport who were recently acquired by Qube Logistics for my expertise in all areas of chain supply and logistics, my main objective is to help realise our company’s goal of producing daily reporting functions required by Qube by updating antiquated inventory practises and procedures. Beaumont’s is well known in the transport industry and its fleet encompasses Trucks, Trailers, Excavators, Loaders and Dolly’s which are all serviced and repaired by our own mechanics. Scheduled servicing, Data fuel reconciliation and stock inventory control and analysis are all areas that will benefit from procedures being implemented including;. Maintaining parts inventory and updating supplier’s part numbers and pricing. Using updated information to source parts at best price. Producing system generated purchase orders . Producing back order reports to expedite and predict ETA’s for repairs. Running stock usage reports for parts re-order. Creating parts usage history to minimise stock on hand to required level. Elimination of manual systems by creation of data flow into TIMMS. TIMMS (ERP System) used correctly can predict services, create system generated PO’s for parts required for repairs by using pre-written templates and streamline running costs. At present this system is not being used at its full capacity and it is one of my objectives for us to use all of its capabilities to continuously improve all areas of the business. Show less
