    • Housing New Zealand Corporation

      Jan 2015 - Sept 2015
Programme Manager - Asset Development Group

I was engaged to apply my commercial business acumen and professional programme and project management skill set to a foundering programme within the Property Services Group (PSG) – Complexes Remediation (circa 5% of the portfolio). The ‘programme’ when I was engaged was operating without rigorous process, insufficient resource and little to no governance. With the support of line managers within ADG, two GM’s (ADG and PSG) and CE; I put in place an appropriate programme governance structure and methodology for delivering the scope of work – using Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and Prince2 frameworks. This was accomplished through the collaboration with various internal stakeholders and subject matter experts, and in an environment of constant flux.Through the process we found that the original benefits and purpose for the programme would not be achieved and the case for the programme was no longer valid - the informed decision was made to focus resource more effectively elsewhere within the organisation and the programme closed.
