Curriculum included 4 weeks (plus 2 weekends) of continuous teaching and coaching of 18 graduate and undergraduate engineering students. This experience has lead to a depth of knowledge in relation to instructional design and facilitation techniques. The boot camp I curriculum design included each student designing, implementing, and working as a team member in two mixed-model production assembly systems utilizing lean flow ideals, 5S / workstation design, standardized work, waste identification/elimination, motion economy, ergonomics, pull systems, set-up reduction, source quality, and value stream mapping. 2. Assisted in advising undergraduate and graduate students in their coursework, master and phD project research and onsite application of lean systems in industry3.
