I was also on the leadership board to plan events and changes within the space. In addition I was apart of the Writer's Room Advisory Council, a group that met weekly to plan out events, speaker invites, workshops for students, and Wellness Wednesdays where we taught students and staff about self care. • Trident Training LLC

      May 2020 - now

I founded and ran my own wellness brand, focused on fitness training and support, named Trident Training LLC. I used this platform to offering Personal Training services to my peers and community and helped a handful of clients change their approach to health and their well being. Not only that, but we achieved amazing results from scientifically-backed exercise programming fueled by my NASM Certification. I gained my Certification, Business License, successfully released merchandise, underwent a 6-month long mentorship for personal training, promoted and connected with clients by taking my instagram from 0 to 3,300 followers, and maintained a consistent client base with a weekly schedule of sessions. I have pivoted this endeavor by becoming an official personal trainer at University of Loyola Chicago for the time being, allowing me for a more supported and official platform. Show less

    • HIMALAYAN RESTAURANT

      May 2021 - Jun 2022
      Head Restaurant Wait Staff

I served as an all encompassing restaurant employee who was at the top of my level and helped the business run smoothly in the most intense situations. I cleaned and set up the restaurant, sat tables, bussed tables, took orders, served food and beverages (alcohol included), and made sure everything in the restaurant was in stock and ordered correctly for nights and communicated with the manager what and how much alcohol, food, and supplies we needed. I maintained a cool ahead in 95 degree heat, a packed out house and a huge line for takeout, complete understaffing, and massive conflicts in the kitchen. Although it was not easy, this job gave me almost all the skills I have now that I use in my day to day. I learned how to move and think efficiently, especially with tasks and timing them. I learned how to take advice, get yelled at gracefully, and speak with customers of all cultures and levels of English-proficiencies, switching to Spanish if needed. I trained in new employees and mentored them in the variety of tasks. This job brought me into adult through fire, and now I am an extremely efficient, communicative, effective worker and person in general, who knows a lot about Nepalese and Indian cooking. This job also taught me how to work 4 hour shifts effectively, as well as 12 hour shifts, and how the two need to differ for the business to succeed. Show less
