  Communications Lead for the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for England, the professional lead for England’s nursing, midwifery and care staff. Also the Communications Lead for Nursing Directorate projects.Kept abreast of issues, developments and forthcoming announcements in order to write timely blogs, speeches and presentations for the CNO.Led on marketing, communications and stakeholder engagement for the CNO's Summits 2014 and 2015, a two day high-profile event for more than 500 senior delegates. Led on stakeholder engagement concerning the CNO's approach to developing safe and sustainable staffing levels during summer 2015, liaising with CCGs, providers and other Arm's Length Bodies to ensure consistency on this sensitive matter.Advised on communications for the May 2016 launch of 'Leading Change, Adding Value', the nursing, midwifery and care assistants framework. Prepared the CNO for media interviews on the launch of the NHS Five Year Forward View and accompanied her to launch events and interviews. This included pre-planned interviews and spontaneous interview requests on the launch day for a variety of media, one of which was a live phone-in style radio interview with members of the public.Wrote a quarterly opinion piece for the CNO in 'Nursing Standard' magazine, addressing key issues in 260 words.Secured and wrote monthly case studies in the ‘British Journal of Health Care Assistants’ to demonstrate the values of the 6Cs in action.Established and maintained an intranet page about nursing and midwifery revalidation and populated it with, amongst others, FAQs, examples, case studies and templates.
