      Every year, Simon Fraser University, in collaboration with the City of Surrey, offers a semester-long course on municipal transportation planning. In my role, I negotiated line-haul rates and worked with carriers to minimize delay, minimize deadhead, and maximize the time their equipment was in revenue service.

Headway reliability- the consistency of vehicle arrivals- determines how long people have to wait at their stop.During my time at Ryerson University, I worked with Dr. Matthias Sweet on a project for the City of Toronto Transportation Services Division on a study that assesses the link between traffic congestion and transit headway reliability using real-world Big Data- archived roadway traffic speeds and transit vehicle location records.
