  As the Head of Production my role involved establishing a brand-new department with a strong focus on value-based leadership and clear processes. Here are some key aspects of the responsibilities:- Developing processes aligned with ISO 9001 certification standards.- Implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for critical departmental processes.- Systematic Data Collection for Optimization:- Systematically collect production data to optimize production costs and track budget performance.- Business Planning and Strategy Execution.The department plays a crucial role in approving and producing products, components, and subsystems for energy-producing facilities. These include biomass plants, heat pumps, oil boilers, gas boilers, and their combinations. The delivered products serve both Verdo’s own facilities and provide services to the district heating sector and industries, both domestically and internationally.Additionally, I hold responsibility for engineering and overall mechanical oversight within Verdo Energy Systems’ Industrial Department. This department handles small to medium-sized projects related to industrial and district heating applications.Despite starting without any employees, the department has now grown to include 7 salaried professionals, an associated workshop with 10 hourly-paid welders and apprentices, and 2 warehouse staff members. Show less As a Project Engineer I was responsible for the overall design and execution of a significant waste-to-energy project using waste wood supplied to a Norwegian customer. The key aspects of the role:Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs):- Create P&IDs for various systems, including hot water, flue gas, and district heating systems.Project Management:- Lead sub-deliveries within the project, ensuring smooth execution.- Responsible for creating design documents related to pumps, compressors, flue gas extractors, etc.Sourcing and Contract Negotiations:- Handle sourcing of major components and negotiate prices and contracts with subcontractors.Additional gain experience:- Working in a large project-oriented company.- Managing projects using the stage-gate model and handling turnkey projects and contracts.- Developing and optimizing internal business processes.
