      M.E. Thesis: Development of Control Strategy for Automated Manual Transmission• The aim of the project is to develop a control strategy for optimal gear selection in order to reduce fuel consumption and also increase vehicle driveability of the test vehicle.• The engine performance characteristics required for simulation are determined experimentally.• A block oriented power-train model is developed in Matlab-Simulink which is able to predict the performance of developed control strategy.• A methodology to derive optimal gear shift map is stated and using which shifts maps for different modes are plotted. These different shift maps are stored in control strategy.• The results show that developed methodology is effective and practicable. Show less
