  Student Intern under Dr. Ranjan Das - Principal Investigator for Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) sponsored research project grant.Project Title: “Development of a Renewable Energy-Based and Fully Grid Independent Radiant Air-Conditioning System”As a student intern I contributed to the development of a renewable energy-based and fully grid-independent radiant air-conditioning system. My role involved closely observing the operation and integration of critical components such as the Fan Coil Unit (FCU), Gasifier, and Air Handling Unit (AHU). I meticulously monitored their performance and recorded essential data to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency of the system. This hands-on experience enhanced my understanding of sustainable HVAC technologies and their practical applications in energy management. Show less

  During my summer internship at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), HERP Plant, Varanasi, I worked under the mentorship of Mr. Ashutosh Kumar (Manager / Production)and Mr. Rahul Yadav(Dy. Manager / Production). I focused on the boring operation on a TG25/3000 Mario CNC Vertical Boring Machine. My responsibilities included understanding the machine's specifications, the steps to load the job, and to observe precise boring and milling tasks. I also observed different machining processes which resulted in the final product formation of BHEL HERP that were Sealing Ring for the Turbine, Bowl Miller Spares, Hangers and other spares as well. This experience provided me with hands-on exposure to advanced machining processes, complementing my academic knowledge in mechanical engineering from IIT Ropar. Show less

  Summer trainee

  During my summer internship at Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) in Varanasi, I gained hands-on experience in various production shops. In the **Loco Assembly Shop**, I was involved in assembling power-packs, trucks, superstructures, and under-frames, ensuring the alignment of critical components like the crankshaft and alternator. In the **Engine Erection Shop**, I worked on the assembly of ALCO diesel engines, focusing on components such as the lube oil container, crankshaft, and turbo supercharger. In the **Loco Frame Shop**, I participated in the fabrication and welding of locomotive frames, applying techniques like CO2-argon welding and oxy-acetylene welding, ensuring the structural integrity and alignment of the frames. In the **Heavy Welding Shop**, I worked with various welding techniques, including submerged arc welding, manual metal arc welding, and MIG welding, contributing to the high-quality welding standards of BLW. This internship provided me with a comprehensive understanding of locomotive manufacturing processes and enhanced my technical skills in mechanical engineering. Show less
