  Responsible for day-to-day running of GeoQuest's industry-standard seismic interpretation software. This included troubleshooting user problems and liaising with Helpdesk experts in resolving serious technical issues. Occasional correspondence with seismic contractors / data libraries and 3DLab sponsors was made also to verify or request project related information for subsequent data loading. Group presentations became a regular occurrence and were an accepted way of sharing knowledge/experience that has been gained, and also to communicate future areas of work, thus aiding planning of resources etc. As my position was multi-directional (my position also included working on the continued development of the School web site), I took great care to ensure that key projects were dealt with in a timely and efficient manner, and other work-related material was incorporated in to "normal" practices. This aspect of my work brought me in daily contact with postgraduate students and other researchers who used this specialist facility. Show less
