Oct 2015 - Apr 2016National Manager Accreditation, Audit and ComplianceMy role was to effectively manage the Accreditation, Audit and Compliance function (the function) of the National Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme (the Scheme). This involved the development of the audit and compliance program for applicants and participants under the Scheme for over 1000 Participants/Members to ensure that they were aware of and complied with the commitments of the Scheme and relevant legislation and industry requirements. I was required to lead and manage several types of contractors to complete the required tasks including website managers and designers to design and manage our webpage and data reporting system for applicants and participants in the Scheme; IT consultants for both hardware and software functions; Communications both internal and external; Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Auditors and Environmental Consultants to develop industry best practice guidelines based on audit finding trends identified during audit programs. I was also required to consult and collaborate with various levels of government in relation to data sharing, development of best practice education materials, current and future statuses of relevant legislation and guidance documentation and to keep up to date with their auditing techniques and requirements.I was in charge of a budget of approximately $700,000 across the function, primarily for conducting and planning compliance and accreditation audits, developing educational materials, and managing the accreditation and auditing online reporting platform. I was successfully able to prepare board papers and budget forecasts and have the Board assess and approve the increased expenditure to ensure the function was being set up to successfully maintain the integrity of the Scheme.I commenced the development of the Tyre Stewardship Australia Environmental Management System, which included the creation of relevant registers,documents and procedures.
