Observed and learnt the processes involved in road construction.Sat in meetings with the project manager, resident engineers and foremen - familiarising myself with the formalities involved with a road construction project.

      Recipient of UCT Plus Award University of Cape Town Nov 2019 I was recognized by the university for my role as a peer educator and facilitator, dedicating 60 hours of my time to social justice work. I educated my peers on the institutional responses to transformation, sexual and gender-based violence, disability, and cultural change by facilitating difficult conversations invarious spaces around campus.

      Falling Walls Lab, Cape Town Winner Falling Walls Lab - Freedom Foundation Africa May 2019 I presented my research topic: Breaking the wall of synthetic urea production. I was amongst seven other participants and won first prize. I will be travelling to Berlin in November to represent the University of Cape Town among 99 other participants from across the world.
