      I work for a project which is funded by IDB, the project aims at the provision of sustainable water sources, through drilling and equipping bore holes in the South Central Regions of Somalia, in order to provide access to clean safe water to the targeted communities. The project aims to improve sustainable community water usages at household level, schools, public places and livelihoods (irrigation and livestock), through providing the necessary training to the local beneficiaries for further efficient and smooth use of the facilities, and the proper management of the available resources. The project provides institutional capacity development to the official authorities involved, both to the federal authorities and the local states authorities. My role involves 1.developing strategies to see projects through from beginning to end2.       I work on a project which is funded by IDB. The project is planning to construct learning facilities (schools) to provide basic education services to School-Aged children in the communities in the vicinity. The Project is to construct a friendly learning school consisting of 3 classes for communities that are lacking education facilities for their children. My role:1-Responsible for the overall management and coordination of the project implementation work and responsible for the quality of technical, operational, organizational and administrative activities needed for efficient project implementation. 2- Undertaking all activities regarding the implementation of all aspects of the project.3- Responsibility of security arrangements in project implementation sites and do risk analysis 4- Handing over of the site to the Contractor(s) as per the general conditions of contract in coordination with the local authority. 5-Develop and establish policies, strategies, and operating goals to ensure efficient and effective implementation of the project consistent with the stated Project Development Objective. 6- Guiding and directing operational teams in the project in developing tracking, monitoring and evaluating project activities so that the stated project goals and objectives are achieved. 7- Managing and administering team of professional/technical and support staff, both directly and through lower level managers and supervisors. 8- Coordinate project activities among the Project Management Unit (PMU), contracted companies and local authorities. 9- Monitoring and inspecting the performance of contractors/service providers to whom the project activities are outsourced. 10- Coordinating and supervising administrative, technical and communication activities necessary for the successful Project implementation; Show less
