  Being an attaché while still pursuing my undergraduate studies was a key dynamic in my career development. Here I got pre-disposed to the transition from campus to a working environment. The ability to balance my working hours and at the same time finalizing on my undergraduate project enhanced my time management skills.The student attachment program was well planned to expose me to more than what entailed my field of study as I had the opportunity of moving from one department to another over a short span which gave me a better understanding of how the whole Centre worked. This enhanced my appreciation of the team approach where various functions are aligned into achieving the core values and missions of an organization. My key roles and deliverables were; Data entry of livestock records and data management. Routine overseeing livestock management and preparing reports. Performing statistical analysis using SPSS and STATA and also design analysis on different projects done by the Centre. Preparing returns for the Centre herd cattle and sub-centers for every month. Cost-benefit analysis in the socio-economic section.   While at The County Government of Nakuru, I was part of the team that disseminated the contents of the CIDP to all the ward administrators and citizens in various public participation forums and fulfilled the role of collecting data based on the public views and recommendations presented for purposes of adopting the same in the development of the County Development Plan (CIDP 2018 - 2022).I had the privilege to participate in the county budget-making process and firsthand experience in understanding the stages of the budget-making process and the separation of functions in devolution and the coordination between the national and county government in delivering the budget. I was also tasked with the responsibility of reviewing various county development plans/proposals to ensure adherence to the county's spatial development strategies.   In my present role as a Credit analyst; I am tasked with appraising, analyzing, and structuring credit requests within the Retail (Consumer/Personal Banking & MSMEs), Commercial and Corporate directorates and following through the processing of credit disbursements and credit monitoring to ensure facility repayments and loan performance. My key roles and deliverables include;Review and appraisal of all credit requests (Corporate, Commercial, and Retail Banking) and recommending credit requests in line with the approved credit empowerment framework.Preparation and review of Credit Memos and credit product programs with the view of optimizing credit facilities and products.Generating customers' credit risk rating based on financial review/analysis and advising business units on appropriate steps to take.Providing effective business support to meet set asset targets and also ensuring higher risk assets yield and efficient pricing in line with budget.Ensuring compliance with all credit approval processes, procedures and ensuring zero occurrences of policy and regulatory breaches.Processing quality risk assets within agreed turnaround time with keen detail on all risks involved, ensuring risks are mitigated in line with safeguarding the Groups assets and supporting business units to ensure customer satisfaction.Conducting economic and industry analysis while preparing Credit Memos and incorporating statistical and industry data as appropriate with the view of providing all necessary information to the approving committees without any omissions.Supporting business units in addressing customers' requests and coordinating with Product Managers in developing and redesigning products to fulfill Customer's/Market expectations.Attending customer visits/meetings with relationship managers to support in structuring facilities that fulfill customers' interests and within the Bank's defined risk acceptance criteria.
