Undergraduate and graduate classes resume at the Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood starting in September 2013 (fall semester) and the students utilize the SCCC campus library. LIU at Brentwood doesn't have its own library at this time. While employed as LIU's reference librarian in Brentwood, I was productive in: Bibliographic Instruction; Created Lib Guides (Pathfinders) for Criminal Justice, Mental Health Counseling, and Special Education; In person and on-line reference services in database and article search; Special projects; Friendly customer service; Office and circulation services including statistics and Inter-library loans; Interest in juvenile collection for teachers and the mental health counseling and nursing careers; Interest in collection development and preservation of materials. I truly loved working in the library and providing services. I miss the students, the graduate assistants, faculty (full and part time professors), staff, and the academic environment. But a new destiny awaits me and I look forward to utilizing my knowledge in another library environment or similiar. Show less
