The IT Strategic Plan was fundamental in identifying and prioritizing initiatives that leveraged IT technologies and ultimately improved Canadian operations -30% reduction in IT operational costs-, while ensuring alignment with the North American Systems Organization. This in turned drove the definition of resource requirements, including budgets. Ensuring proper development and opportunities for IT personnel was a key to success, as well as working with key partners in the implementation of solutions.       Code and the City Open Data Idea Jam - First Place City of Mississauga Mar 2016 As part of International Open Data Day, the City of Mississauga co-hosted its first Idea Jam, Code and The City, in partnership with Sheridan College and I-CUBE (University of Toronto Mississauga).
