      • Learning from Engineers across all disciplines, within the chemical engineering industry, producing products that have a range of agricultural applications. • Working hands on within the engineering workshop to understand the steps taken to maintain and repair pumps and motors on site to ensure minimum plant down time. • Worked with Reliability Engineers to gather data on components that are likely to fail soon or are working inefficiently. Using state of the art equipment such as ultrasound technology to detect air leaks, the health of steam traps and excessively loud motors so maintenance can be scheduled. Alongside this I have used a motion amplification camera which is an aid to visualise the movement of a pump as it vibrates so that problems can be easily identified.• Meeting with many external contractors to discuss current and upcoming maintenance projects that need outside expertise.       Working with the Project Director, installed and commissioned a 6MW Thermal and 1 MW Electric biomass powerstation.Evaluated the viability of 3 projects within the biomass industry involving the production of a wood chip product and produced the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) Study’s for each project.Project Managed the installation of a £400,000 wood chip transportation project leading a total of 15 in-house resource and external contractors. Taking the lead commissioning role during the implementation of this wood chip transportation project Orchestrated the introduction of AutoCAD, produced high accuracy site drawings in both 2D and 3D, these were essential for better understanding of the project goal for both contractors and clients.       OLE Design Engineer

      Undertook OLE (Overhead Line Equipment) outline & detailed design for 25kV AC railway electrification in accordance with appropriate International, National, Railway Group and Network Rail Company Standards.Design Engineer for the detailed design of 2 OLE construction units as part of the TransPennine Route Upgrade project. Lead Design Engineer responsible for the OLE detailed design of the relocation of Stratford Station neutral section, managing a team of 2 design engineers and 3 CAD technicians. This involved utilising Lineardraft software package to generate the 3D model of the route. Ensured delivery aligned with other engineering disciplines on the project including civil, signalling and E&P.Lead engineer for the OLE detailed design at the A1 Allerdene bridge replacement between Birtley and Coalhouse. This involved taking an existing outline design which consisted of 2 construction stages and improving the design to produce a single construction stage. This involved simplifying the design from 15 new structures required to just 4, reducing construction work, carbon footprint and impact on operations.Responsible for the risk assessment at overbridges, sealing end structures and Network Rail assets adjacent to the DLR as part of the upgrade works on the Great Eastern Route. to increase the fault current from 6kA to 12kA between Liverpool Street and Shenfield. I analysed the risk at each location and proposed a number of mitigation methods where required. Show less
