  Assistant Trip Leader

  Led two 3 week long adventure travel trips for teenagers in the Yellowstone/Rocky Mountain Region. Trips included backpacking, rafting, sea kayaking, rock climbing, and hiking. Aside from one other trip leader and specialized guides for shorter rock climbing and rafting segments was solely responsible for the supervision of 10-12 teenagers for the entire three weeks. This includes back country, as well as front country. Taught hard skills such as trip packing, route finding, trip grocery shopping and cooking, as well as soft skills like leadership, teamwork, and personal development.   Fulbright Fellow, English teaching Assistant

  Served as an English teaching assistant at Evanjelické gymnázium Tisovec, a Slovak high school similar to a college prepratory school in the United States. Taught conversational English, English class, and American and British Literature. Also worked on an oral history project attempting to chronicle the lives of aged Slovaks living in Rural Slovakia. The interviews/ chronicles were published in the on-line publication, the Bygone Bureau.

Past emphasis on Fixed Operations in our Ford, Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, and Chevrolet, Buick, GMC dealerships. Responsibilities include managing staff, recruiting and hiring staff, recruiting and hiring apprentices, observing and removing efficiency roadblocks, studying financials, learning about parts inventories and inventory management, and learning the "ins and outs" of Fixed Operations.
