My research focused on the design and implementation of human-AI interactions in sociotechnical contexts, aiming to bridge the gap between engineering and design practices, towards the development of responsible, accountable, and trustworthy AI. The main contribution was the development of a modelling language for Human-AI interactions which aims to formalize the communication between users and models considering both implementation aspects and human-centered design requirements for HAI interaction systems. As a research outcome, a prototype version of this modelling language has been developed and formalized as a design space inspired both from design and engineering approaches for HCAI methods. Co-design workshops and user studies were conducted with designers in order to evaluate the efficiency of the language as a prototyping method for HAI interactions, through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
