  I received an academic scholarship as a result of my A Level results and in my first year of study at University I was awarded both a Shell Technical Scholarship and a BP Scholarship. The Scholarships recognize, reward and support academic excellence and encourage the potential for future achievement in the workplace.As part of my third year project I was involved with developing the brake system of our F14 vehicle as part of the Formula Student program. The objective of the project was to develop an accurate scaling procedure which will allow for full scale braking conditions to be replicated on the University's reduced scale brake test rig. This included assisting with the assembly of the rig as well as intricately scaling and designing components such as the flywheel, the disc brake and the friction pads.My fourth year dissertation project enveloped the analysis and development of the F13 braking system for use in the Formula Student competition held annually at the prestigious Silverstone circuit.Modules undertaken at University include:Engineering Mathematics, Solid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Computers in Engineering Analysis, Design and Manufacture, Engineering Materials, Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Mechanics, Vibration and Control, Vehicle Design and Analysis and Structural Mechanics.   A 7 week summer internship at Deloitte UK where the job entailed a lot of important compliance work on tax computations, sitting in on partner client meetings and attending training workshops. Within the ERS department I was working on a project, which was designed to assess particular risk scenarios for the data surrounding the London 2012 Olympic games committee.
