  As part of my University degree I had to complete a year in industry which had to be a minimum of 40 weeks. For this placement I worked for Cummins which was a great fit for me as they are six sigma driven which allowed me to use my analytic skills to a very high degree. This was my first exposure to the corporate world and taught me a great deal about how large multi-national companies operate.
