      Activities and Societies: Paired Reading- read books with a pupil who had learning difficulties. Helped to improve their reading skills, gain confidence in their English and social skills. S6 buddy- helped the new 1st year students adapt to the Academy, find their way round, and make new friends in their year. Voted in as Prefect by teachers and peers- ensure that other students respect the rules in the Academy, report any troublemakers to a teacher.

      I worked 2 hours each day, 3 days a week after school and mainly carried out administrative duties, such as posting invoices, filing away paperwork and boxing up sampling equipment to be sent to clients. I also aided co-workers in the lab by cleaning test tubes and other glassware for reuse, and also dispensing media, such as RVS and MRD, into universal tubes.

When I left, I was being trained in weekly controls, waters testing, media assistant, and enumerations assistant.
