  I started my insurance career with a role as Accounts Broker in the Bloodstock and Livestock Department at Wilburtins Insurance Brokers.As well as data entry, new business inquiries and liaising with Underwriters, I took a particular interest in claims management. Whilst at Wilburtins I completed the Certificate III and Certificate IV in General Insurance and gained valuable insight into the mechanics of the Insurance Industry.

  Starting as a Seniors Claims Executive in the Claims Department at Aon Professional Services, managing a large portfolio of claims for a variety of Professional Indemnity Schemes including veterinarians, barristers, accountants, psychologist and architects. I also managed the NSW Law Society’s Compulsory Professional Indemnity Scheme, Law Cover. When the Claims Manager role opened up, I took over that role.Continuing my studies whilst at Aon, I completed a Diploma in Business – Loss Adjusting, with specialist electives in Property, Casualty and Liability Loss Adjustment.   At Noel Riley & Associates I have specialised in the assessment of Bloodstock/Livestock claims, Carrier's Liability/Marine Cargo and associated Liability claims.I come from a Science background, having completed an Associate Diploma in Applied Science and beginning my career with St George Hospital in the Anatomical Pathology Department. Having grown up on a small farm in the NSW Southern Highlands, I have an understanding of rural life and general farm practices. I have owned, bred and competed on my own horses since a very young age and have also spent time at a racing rehabilitation facility in Victoria. As an industry specialist, I have written articles on insurance for the Racehorse Owners Association newsletters, Equine Veterinarian Association (EVA) Journals and have collaborated with the EVA on insurance aspects of guidelines for euthanasia and insurance related certificates.Working remotely, I have run home offices in Melbourne Victoria, the northern suburbs of Sydney, Adelaide, South Australia and am currently based in Brisbane, Queensland.
