      I worked as the primary research tech on a project to reintroduce an endangered species. My job was to hatch and raise the Eastern Indigo snakes prior to release for optimal growth and health. I also worked on several other endangered species projects and many population surveys.

      Invited Speaker Biology Colloquium at Wells College Wells College, Aurora NY Oct 2016 I was invited to speak by the biology department at Wells College. I talked about the research I did on Komodo dragons.
    • Awarded to Michael Wines
      Komodo Dragon Research Grant Zoological Society of New Jersey Feb 2016 I went to Komodo Island in Indonesia to research Komodo dragons in the wild. While there I helped catch (and release) forty wild dragons, including the largest living lizard. The work helped several ongoing studies through KomodoDragon.org, the AZA, and the National Parks of Indonesia. An article about my work is to be featured in Reptiles magazine Nov/Dec issue of 2016.
