    • Worldlink International Ministries

      Apr 2005 - May 2010
      Project Coordinator

Worldlink provides resources to indigenous Christian ministers serving in their local contexts. These men and women understand the local culture, language, and needs. As the Project Coordinator, I interacted with our international partners. I visited them, kept track of their activities, made sure they had what they needed, and reported to stateside partners. Additionally, I wrote our regular e-newsletter (using Constant Contact), created fundraising campaigns, managed the administrative and compliance aspects of the organization, and assisted with strategic planning.I was also privileged to train and lead US partners on trips to support partners in Latin America. It was while helping a group of college students prepare for a trip that I realized I wanted to serve students more directly and decided to pursue work with the CCO. Show less

    • CCO (Coalition for Christian Outreach)

      Jun 2010 - May 2014
Co-Founder and Director, Norristown Community House

My wife and I founded the Norristown Community House as an intentional Christian community for people who desire intimacy with God, community with others, and engagement with the world. It offered a nine-month living and learning community to young adults (aged 19-26) where they could be mentored and catch a vision for serving their community and the world. These goals were accomplished through partnering with local organizations in our urban community, creating experiential learning opportunities, and engaging in ongoing one-on-one and small group meetings and meals together. We also hosted visiting groups and created learning experiences for them around topics such as race, immigration, and poverty. As the vision for Mosaic Norristown came into focus, we closed the house in order to focus our attention on the youth of Norristown. (Check my volunteer profile for info about Mosaic.) Show less

    • COALITION FOR CHRISTIAN OUTREACH

      Jul 2014 - Jul 2018
      Experiential Designs Resource Specialist

As a member of the CCO's XD team, I planned and led experiential learning opportunities for campus ministries across the organization, other non-profits, and co-curricular events for college courses. These opportunities included a service learning trip to St. Croix, multi-day backcountry trips, an eight-week urban discipleship community, leadership and team-building events, and a wide variety of immersive activities created to learn about poverty, trauma, and justice. The goals of events included leadership development, personal and spiritual growth, and broadening understanding of social issues. I collaborated with other team members and campus ministers across the organization to achieve their desired outcomes and coached them on how to create successful programs. Leading the various events included not only designing programs but also budgeting, client communication, and risk management. I enjoy backcountry adventure education but also applying experiential learning principles to help people understand urban and justice issues.Alongside working with internal and external clients, I was continuing to raise funds for personal salary, benefits, and ministry expenses in all CCO roles. I regularly use Mailchimp for email communication with supporters. Show less

    • Williamson College of the Trades

      Jul 2018 - now
      Director of Student Engagement

My work at Williamson has allowed me to care for students from diverse backgrounds and help them develop as leaders and people. It has also given me many opportunities to expand my program management and curriculum development skills. Primary areas of responsibility include leading the all-campus Homecoming competition involving students, staff, and faculty; leading preparations for and taking 97 students on an 8-day backcountry leadership trip; planning and executing weekly events for students; managing the Wesley Student Activities Center; and leading a weekly life skills conversation and training.I also get to collaborate with staff and departments across the campus, primarily residence life, alumni relations, and athletics. My passion for equity and justice has made me instrumental in the school’s DEIB efforts, and I am co-leading the Student Cultural Awareness Program. I love mentoring students, both formally (through the school’s disciplinary program) and informally as they seek help on topics from relationships to car repair to dealing with professors to leadership development.
