      Accountable for all subsurface activity within the Global Unconventional Production organization. The Bakken, North Dakota, was the largest asset with a $3 billion capital spend in 2012 and an active 15 rig / 200+ annual well program. The project involved simultaneous appraisal, depletion planning and development activities over a ten thousand square mile area in nano-darcy rock. Challenges included evaluating well performance for production forecasting and reserves, optimizing well design for lateral placement, well length and hydraulic stimulation, determining infill density and project execution with a large number of multi-discipline interfaces. Other significant assets included the EagleFord Shale, Utica Shale, and Permian CO2 flood.• Member of the Business Unit leadership team (business strategy, planning and delivery) and the Global Subsurface Directors Network (Resourcing, Talent Management, Workforce Planning, Performance Management, Compensation Planning, and Employee Development).• Technical authority within the business unit for subsurface technical studies, evaluations and reservoir management and development plans; three Subsurface Manager direct reports and technical group of approximately 75 multi-discipline professionals.• Responsible for the preparation, delivery, and stewardship of Field Development Plans and coordinating the preparation of Asset Value Plans (AVP).• Technical authority for certifying and submitting business unit reserves. • Effective regular interfacing with Hess senior executives (CEO, E&P President). • Instrumental in building organizational capability, both in terms of resources and processes, through the Global Subsurface Directors Network.       Technical Director with accountability to ensure that all Subsurface, Drilling and New Field Development technical work undertaken in Petrofac Malaysia is fit-for-purpose for the optimum reservoir management and effective reservoir development of fields within PM304. The Technical Director is accountable for the preparation, delivery, and stewardship of both Reservoir Management and Field Development Plans, including reserve and resource management, annual capital and expense budgets and production forecasts to meet business goals and objectives, and for maximising the value, and stewardship through to financial investment (FID) sanction, of pre-development assets. Responsible for the delivery of drilling campaigns for asset development. Additional responsibility of reservoir management and development of Petrofac Mexico’s four operated assets, as well as a mandate for increasing the technical quality and capability of the local organisation.• Led development of the Santuario Northeast greenfield Field Development Plan (FDP), a $500 million project, facilitating both migration of the asset to a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) and partial sale of the business.• Led development of revised FDPs for Magallanes and Arenque assets as part of contract migration to PSC. Proposals accepted by Pemex and submitted to national regulator. • Extensive one to one technical coaching of subsurface staff, including reservoir surveillance, reservoir management, reservoir development planning and the implementation of SPE-PRMS based reserve & resource evaluation.
