      UNCTAD is the United Nation's lead agency dealing with issues related to trade and economic and social development. It's mission is to help poorer countries get more out of international trade. It does this by working with governments to better align economic and social polices with realities of the international trading system. And it works with industries and businesses to help them become more competitive on regional and international markets. As an associate communications officer, I strengthened media pick up of the organization's work, boosted web traffic for articles and publications, and increased reach and engagement on social media.
