I worked in a team that was part of a larger division developing the Petal Search browser, where we were responsible for creating a solution to monitor potential fraudulent behavior in advertising. This was my first job in IT right after completing my master's degree, so my main goal was to learn and progress as a developer as quickly as possible. My key contributions to the project were:• Developing several models used for predicting a fraudulent behavior based on an incoming stream of more than 1 billion CDRs per day.• Writing numerous tests, mostly unit.• Helping with the deployment and maintenance of the project. Our team is developing a Mediation Data System (MDS) made up of two independent modules: DIP (Data Integration Platform) and DLM (Data Lifecycle Management). The product is a standalone desktop application featuring a web UI, with a backend written in Java 17 and a frontend in JavaScript and jQuery. Currently, the majority of our clients are large IT and billing organizations, although we are in discussions with smaller companies. My key contributions to the project include:• Developing numerous actors responsible for saving, transforming and reading user data: ASN1 parser capable of processing 70,000 CDRs per second, integration with databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and ClickHouse, actors working with Elasticsearch, files, SFTP and others.• Leading the migration of our CI/CD pipelines from TeamCity to Jenkins as part of a company-wide initiative. The migration was accomplished by incapsulating the common logic into Jenkins shared libraries and reusing them across all our modules. I also assisted colleagues from other teams with Jenkins issues and actively participated in department-wide meetings addressing migration challenges.• Writing the majority of tests, ranging from unit to E2E tests.• Playing an active role in all stages of the product release process, including addressing potential vulnerabilities and eliminating code dependencies with prohibited licenses.
