  I was recruited in 2000 by Boston Publishing, a family-owned Melbourne-based business, to assist with the launch of Australia’s first online newsletter for the fashion industry. As part of a small team, we worked together over the years to create a publishing house that now produces a suite of business-to-business titles for various industries.Based in Sydney, I provided national stories for twice-weekly e-newsletter deadlines. These updates, in 250 words or less, complemented the already existing ATF magazine. For ATF, I wrote long-form stories in feature articles, often focused on the creative talents behind Australia’s fashion industry. For me, it was a wonderful time. From my front-row seat at fashion forums in Sydney, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, and more, I glimpsed an intimate portrait of designers and how they share their talents around the globe. I was granted an insider’s view into the fashion industry and its leading icons.* I am grateful for the many people who shared their stories with me. I have learnt that our stories are precious.   I established Cass & Dean Communications to provide a writing service for corporates. This venture allowed me to develop my writing skills beyond journalism and motivated me to begin composing website content, press releases, speeches, corporate blogs and more.It also built on my previous experience writing news and feature articles for publications such as The Australian, The Sun-Herald, E-Commerce Today, Prevention, Marketing and the Singapore-based Peak magazine as well as editing and subediting Yaffa Publishing business titles. * While operating Cass & Dean Communications, I was often asked for advice on writing. And I began to coach people to help them develop their writing and presentation skills. As I witnessed their skills improving, I began to see a need for a writing coaching business.   JMP Writing Coach

  I started the JMP Writing Coach to help people improve their writing skills. I want to help them break down any barriers that language might pose so they can more easily reach for their potential. Barriers to getting a job, a promotion, to being recognised as an expert in their field, or to gain a better mark in their studies. While many people are gifted in their specialist fields, they may not yet have mastered writing. That’s okay. I am ambitious for them because I believe writing is a skill that can be taught and can be learnt.* After seeing a need for the JMP Writing Coach, I returned to university during the pandemic in 2020 to gain a postgraduate qualification on education with a focus on the English language. I now combine the teaching skills honed at university with a career history in writing to help people develop their writing abilities. Show less

  Team-building sessions to promote creativity and imagination. Do you ever want a break from real life, to laugh, to set your mind free, to wander into imagination? I do. Especially during the past two years when my imagination led me away from lockdowns and into stories and creativity and laughter. Imagination also led me to this idea, that I could share imagination with you. So we could all get a break from real life and reconnect with laughter. And also, to remember that all great leaps in humankind begin with an idea that grows from this magical place we all possess; our imaginations. An Imagination Session® is designed to reconnect you with daydreams and creativity and to remind you that imagination is powerful; it can change the world. Think the moon landing, driverless cars and even, the light bulb.In an Imagination Session®, also fostered are social and interpersonal skills, team building, creative thinking and out-of-the-box ideas.
