    • Helen Doron Educational Group

      Oct 2012 - Jul 2020

As the owner and manager of the Helen Doron Learning Centre, I was committed to creating a safe learning environment where children thrived, teachers felt supported, and families were engaged. My role combined leadership, teaching, and community outreach, as I worked to ensure our centre provided high-quality early education aligned with global best practices.WHAT I DID:- Led the day-to-day operations of the centre, overseeing a dedicated team of educators and staff to deliver outstanding early childhood education.- Coordinated with the national franchise network to implement projects and guidelines, ensuring consistent adherence to high educational and service standards.- Planned and executed marketing campaigns, managed social media, and built strong community partnerships, while maintaining excellent communication and customer care.- Led local efforts for the franchise-wide Young Heroes Project, successfully collecting and donating 400 books to underprivileged children and setting up a reading corner at a pediatrician’s office.- Received the National Franchise Award for Best Community Contribution in 2018, recognizing the centre's outstanding commitment to making a positive impact on the local community.WHY I LOVED IT:What I loved most was seeing how the centre became a true hub for the community. Watching children thrive while supporting families through their early education journeys was incredibly fulfilling. The relationships we built with parents and the broader community were at the heart of our success, and being recognized with awards like the International Kevin Award for Best-Branded Premises was a reflection of the meaningful impact we made together. Show less As an Early Education English Teacher at Helen Doron, my goal was to go beyond language instruction and create an environment where children felt valued and confident in their abilities. I focused on more than just teaching English—I nurtured my students' self-esteem, encouraged their curiosity, and cultivated a love of learning that extended beyond the classroom. Through play-based and immersive methods, I helped children from infancy through adolescence learn English naturally, much like they would their mother tongue.WHAT I DID:- Taught over 20 different courses to children aged 3 months to 18 years, using the Helen Doron methodology that emphasizes natural language acquisition through play, repetition, and positive reinforcement.- Developed innovative learning materials and interactive activities that made lessons engaging and fun, fostering a deep connection between language learning and creativity.- Created a welcoming and motivating classroom environment where every child felt accepted, valued, and encouraged to explore their potential.- Supported students in developing not only their language skills but also their self-worth and confidence, ensuring that they left each lesson feeling proud of their achievements.WHY I LOVED IT:Watching my students grow, not just in their English skills but in their confidence and curiosity, was the most rewarding part of my work. I loved creating a space where children felt safe to express themselves and take on challenges. Knowing that I could make a lasting impact on their personal development, alongside their language learning, made this role incredibly fulfilling. Helen Doron’s innovative approach allowed me to teach in a way that was both effective and deeply aligned with my belief in nurturing the whole child. Show less
