I analyzed process flows, material logistics internally and internationally. I implemented supermarket style kanban warehousing and line feed processes. I worked directly with the purchasing department to help recommend and negotiate material flow contracts with suppliers. I worked directly with the logistics department to schedule border crossing, flight arrangements and trucking schedules. I speak conversational and work place Spanish, with the ability to read and write Spanish for reporting purposes. – My previous remote project, required my analytical skills to help set up internal material flow and capacity planning for an automotive anodizing and polishing facility. I generated capacity requirement plans to maintain molding production for all F-15 Pillar production. I created and maintained the Inspection document packets for each F-15 car kit that was packed and QA approved prior to shipment. I worked directly with Suppliers to resolve quality and production issues. Over saw outside inspection teams as they would perform in house rework for MAGNA suppliers. I was assigned to the BMW F-15 project launch under the direction of the Quality Manager. My primary objective was to develop an Excel based defect and scrap tracking system for the BMW project. The system I developed tracked 36 molding machines; inspection stations and final pack by machine number, mold number, cavity, date and time. Through the developed data collection I generated a reporting system with detailed graphing and pivot tables which gave layered data for operators, engineering, and maintenance. All of which contained analytical analysis of trends and problem areas. Additional reports were designed operations management, customer presentation reviews and corporate review. The program was introduced to the Director of the sealing division of Cooper Standard, He asked that I replicate the program with customizations for each product line in the plant. Once this was complete I was asked to transfer to the Extrusion plant and implement the same type of system there. After successfully implementing the quality defect tracking system and still working on contract with Cooper I demonstrated my engineering skills and was asked to take on the position of the New BMW extrusion line as the Line Engineer. Shortly after doing so I was offered a full time position as a Senior Process Engineer for Cooper Standard. Show less

My initial involvement was to complete the installation and have the line commissioned for production. The extrusion line consisted of, four Pateo Extruders; six TSM Magnetrons and Cure ovens; one eight head Tan-Tec Plasma, 15 station glue station with Watson-Marlow pumps; 2 TSM flocking drums; eight Gurloc flock cure ovens; a Kubitza traveling saw and an 18’ x 5’ Doffing Table. My responsibilities required full operation and mechanical knowledge of this equipment. I designed tooling and profile guides, for quick change overs and improved performance. I wrote all work instructions set process parameters for the line as well as trained personnel on the operations of the line. I was able to design tooling and tune the saw cutting operation to the point that moldable cut to length was achievable on line rather than offline. This improvement allowed the company to remove a headcount of two people per shift from the off line cut to length operation. With my success of the new BMW extrusion line up and running, I was asked to move over to the BMW secondary operations and analyze the performance and equipment issues in those areas. In these operations I managed the operation of four Nor-Mec molding machines, two Wenno molding machines and a traveling cut to length seal cutter. I designed multiple tooling and guide holders along with a new feed system that allowed this operation to reduce it’s scrap from 45% daily to less than 2%. I respectively was able to achieve the same results in the molding area through developing new process standards and mold alignment techniques along with operator training procedures. Once this project was completed I returned to a dual role of Senior Process Engineer for both BMW and Nissan secondary operations and main line extrusion for BMW. Show less
