  Very varied role covering lots of technologies that were new to me. Tasks ranged from helpdesk support both face to face and remotely over the phone. 1st, 2nd and some 3rd line support to over 2000 users. The site contained over 1000 PC's, 200 laptops and many other IT related devices which I helped maintain. Active directory and group policy usage in great detail and re-packaging software in to msi's for deployment.Commended by many of my collegues for always being willing to help and able to communicate with them whatever their level of IT literacy.Left John Leggott to move in to a more corporate environment to gain an understanding of another kind of working life. This would also give me much more experience and a chance to develop my skills to help with some of my career goals. Show less

  1st and 2nd Line Support to a large national food processing company covering 12+ UK sites. Local and remote support covering a varying amount of different Windows based systems and bespoke applications.Covering different shifts and also out of hours support to business critical users/systems to maintain as near to 0% downtime for any users. This role gave me a lot of experience in a large distributed network connected via MPLS networks and ADSL backup lines. With the sites being distributed thin clients and MS Terminal Services were used in great detail. Decided to look for another role which would give me more hands on oppertunities to deal with 3rd line support and a chance to work more with Servers/Back end Infrastructure which is what my career goals have been for a few years now.   Just recently started back at John Leggott College in a different role to what I was in before. Responsible for over 15,000 devices globally across Windows 10, iOS and Android devices in sometimes complex and challenging environments and locations.Duties also include management of the hardware contract for the purchasing and delivery of laptops to all locations across the world.
