He was sent to the UK for a five week training and support function where he made a huge impression on the BPS UK team, the Business Partners as well as Cost Managers within UKL Marketing & Distribution Business units which he actively supported. He was extremely proactive in ensuring Cost Managers were submitting their forecast templates on time and to the expected level of accuracy by visiting cost managers at their desk individually, sitting with them and providing them guidance and checking their templates. All this was carried out in the midst of extremely tight timescales and under severe pressure. Almost all the cost managers he encountered were not financially sound thus requiring a great level of effective communication and patience to make matters clear. The cost managers were delighted at the level of service provided and the Business partners were impressed with his involvement in ensuring the receipt of accurate and timely forecast templates from the two Business Units that had always proved difficult in the past. He provided 1:1 trainings to almost 20 cost managers, resolved access problems for 45 cost managers and reviewed around 26 tracking reports.He was also involved in the development of various reports to facilitate and monitor the forecast templates, the most notable being an FTE Report to be used across all UKL BUs which was a tremendous help to cost managers in budgeting accurately for their Staff costs. In a typical demonstration of team working, he passed on the knowledge/experience he gained whilst in the UK to his colleagues through formal and individual sessions.
