  Main activities in this job are those of monitoring and maintenance of a telecommunications network, named Hutchinson. They have outsourced their services and now we assumed all the attributions. Basically we represent the interface between the clients and Hutchinson network. I am in the Front Office, Service Layer department, part of the Web team who handle Value Added Services: Skype, Streaming, Selfcare, Mobile Portal. We ensure the proper operation of all the services so that customers can have access all the time to the applications above mentioned. We perform weekly Scheduled Jobs for the maintenance part, we have access to the unix machines where we can do restarts, we can run the necesary scripts in order to resolve some problems. Also we have access to the Data Base where we can add/delete customers or to modify their profile when customers are asking us to do it. We have access to job aids in order to perform all the activities and to solve the issues that can appear on our shift. We are in close contact with our colleagues from back office, when we can not solve some problems we contact them. Sometimes we have to appeal to their aid as the job aids requires to us (is not our responsibility anymore). Our program is done so we can cover all day long and the night (24/7) and in this way we are able to manage the issues that can appear any time. Show less

  Since I have started working as Project Manager I had the chance to lead multiple projects for customers from various European countries, 90% of them being from the United Kingdom. This offered me a great opportunity to collaborate with both the Development & Testing teams which are actually part of the Oracle consulting team and with 3rd parties from customer side.I took care to achieve the deadlines established at the beginning of the project with both customer and Oracle implementation team. I coordinated the project while it is in implementation, starting when I receive the signed contract from sales team until the configuration is in place and customer is moved to production. I took care of creating a high level plan, organizing weekly calls with the customer/ consulting team, on site meetings with the customer, almost daily discussions with the engineer assigned to the project to discuss the actual status, to plan the next actions I had to ensure a good communication between the teams, including IT from customer side. Another important responsibility is related to security level in order to provide high attention and implication from all the members of the teams involved, to ensure that the standards are followed as per the specified procedures. Being proactive I was able to avoid situations of missing the deadlines or slip of the project. Once customer was in production I was starting to handover the project to the Service Delivery team and at the same time I am offering support to the customer and all the involved teams during a stabilization period. The main activities and responsibilities are as follows:- The OM will produce & present the Customer Report (CR) for the customer, and present the findings to the customer; CR contains information about the status of the supplied product for each customer.- The OM will monitor SR trends, storage capacity, and other operational activity;- For service failures, manage the Root Cause Analysis process, providing an action plan to resolve the underlying issues, and then manage the action plan through to resolution;- Maintain the Operational elements of the Oracle On Demand Lifecycle Management system.   In Vodafone I had the chance to work on pilot projects using the both Agile and Waterfall methodologies which after a series of 3 became standard Agile projects. This brought me the Vodafone Stars Award. I have been focusing on how to work Agile on my projects, trying to adapt them in such way to be able to plan & deliver them at least 70% close to this methodology. I had the opportunity to be the first team member in leading bespoke projects, activity which involved both finding a suitable solution for a customer which was never implemented before in Vodafone and then making this a standard solution. As part of this activity I have also contributed putting in place the process to be followed for be-spoke solutions. In parallel I am training the new colleagues who are joining the Project Management team. This also brought me another Vodafone Star Award for my work in the last year. The current position involve working with both customer and vendor but also taking care of some internal projects, planning them with the team, agreeing deliverables and deadlines, handling budget and managing stakeholders in order to deliver in time the projects.
