  During my Master's Dissertation, I conducted an in-depth exploration into the realm of polymer science by focusing on the preparation and characterization of an interpenetrating network composed of Natural Rubber (NR) and Polystyrene (PS) under the supervision of Dr.Susmita Dey Sadhu Assistant professor, Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences, University of Delhi. This innovative project aimed to combine the unique properties of these two distinct polymers to create a synergistic material with enhanced mechanical and thermal characteristics. Through meticulous experimental design and advanced analytical techniques, I gained valuable insights into the synthesis process, polymer-polymer interactions, and the resulting material's structure-property relationships. This research not only expanded my knowledge in polymer chemistry and materials science but also equipped me with hands-on experience in polymer synthesis, and characterization methods such as FTIR, SEM, XRD, TGA, UTM-Tensile testing, and data analysis. I even experienced operating the Compression molding instrument, UTM, and Two roll mills during the course of my project.
