  In the chemical biology laboratory of Dr. Yftah Tal-Gan, I study quorum sensing systems in Streptococcus bacteria. Specifically, I use a combination of molecular biology, biochemistry, and synthetic peptide chemistry methods to identify, characterize, and target peptides & proteins involved in bacterial competence and bacteriocin production in various species of Streptococci.
