  Billing Coordinator / Billing Administrator

  Initially a 6 day temp job on a team of 12 assisting the billing department in the validation of their hard copy file contracts for their system conversion from MAS to Oracle. I developed this into administrative support for the finance department, eventually earning the full time position of Billing Coordinator. With my comprehensive team support I developed the position into Billing Administrator. I learned & mastered many responsibilities. I became the main contact for customer care & the sole facilitator of the cancellation process in the billing department. I developed additional expertise in research, verifying, validating & processing of customer credits, legal name changes of the company names of customers & assisting with quarterly auditing. With this process I saved the company thousands of dollars. One occasion saved the company from over paying $7000 on a customer credit. Another investigation saved the company in excess of $30,000 in overpayment on a customer credit. The sorting, sending & tracking of both domestic & foreign customer invoices (hard copy & electronic) was my individual responsibility. Being the primary customer contact I communicated with both customers and other departments internationally. As requested by my boss, the job description posted for my replacement was written by me.   I managed the care for my mother in law until her death and assisted the POA with the closure of her estate. She had severe health issues & Alzheimer's. 24hr care was required. I researched 24hr care agencies, facilitated their employment (interviewing, hiring, firing, paying), repeating the process after each hospital stay. I administrated & supervised the home care companies (nurse, physical therapy, occupational therapy, social worker) after each hospital stay. I worked with 2 home companies & a rehab facility. I scheduled & escorted her to every doctor appointment. This was a full-time position.When Assisted Living became necessary, I researched available facilities, evaluated cost vs services, & their “personality”. I scheduled tours & escorted Ann to choose her new home. After the decision was made I implemented the details with the Assisted Living facility (paperwork, signatures, monies, evaluation meetings, moving details). I moved her into her new home @ Sunrise Assisted Living. I oversaw the distribution of the contents of her home to the proper family members. With the family's approval, I donated & sold the remainder of her things. Once the home was empty I renovated it for sale. Once completed the home closed in 35 days. While she lived at Sunrise (5/2012-10/2015) I managed her medical care: scheduling of & escorting to doctor appointments, overseeing medication, medical insurance, hospital runs, surgery, rehab & all needed communication. I was her ears & voice. 10/2015 She required professional memory care. I researched the options available, did tours & communicated to the family. She was moved to Rose Senior Living Memory Care Facility where I oversaw her care there & remained the primary point of contact. In November she entered Hospice. I made all the arrangements necessary, continued to oversee her care & be the primary point of contact.January 28, 2017, she died. All necessary legal calls completed by 2/3/2017 my job is completed.
