      Sept 2008 - Nov 2011
      Facility Integrity Inspection Lead

Responsible for monitoring the integrity of the assets in my area. This would include directing all inspection activities, coordinating 3rd party inspection, leading turn around inspection activities, collecting and analyzing all inspection data, developing and implementing repair/alteration plans, issuing replacement in kind packages, planning, budgeting and creating scopes for inspection surveys and future turnarounds, develop and maintain inspection procedures, work closely with corrosion engineer, operations and maintenance to ensure safe operation of the plant. Mentoring of junior inspectors and engineering staff. Played key role in the asset integrity management departments directive to achieve "Goal Zero" - meaning zero recordables, zero leaks/spills and zero non-compliances. These were achieved by actively participating in Shell's safety programs, leading by example and instilling this mind set with contractors. Helped improve plant reliability by analyzing existing monitoring locations and inspection data and making intelligent risk based inspection decisions which would high light the need for immediate corrective action, extend or increase the inspection frequency or result in a cost/benefit analysis to replace vs inspect. Very successful with helping plant turnarounds run smoothly, safely and on schedule. This was achieved by working closely with turn around planning groups and providing high quality, detailed and concise inspection plans Show less
