  Facilities and Logistics Manager of £30m worth of assets distributed throughout the UK land forces and worldwide area of operations. Has managed multi site locations stretching from Birmingham, Cardiff, Redditch and Colchester which included close liaison with various civilian organisations and contract negotiations. Has managed a team of logistical experts; maintaining and overseeing the logistics supply chain, and the subsequent distribution of equipment throughout worldwide operational theatres and the strong logistics governance of the equipment concerned by end users. Further responsible for the implementation, accountancy and distribution of a state-of-the-art, government procured, bespoke communications system. This role required regular liaison with civilian industry implementation teams, ensuring that the transition from industry to military use was implemented without delay. • Logistics Procurement - Regular consultation with various high profile project teams, ensuring communications logistics procedures were successfully implemented, resulting in the correct procedures for accounting and distribution of equipment with a net worth of over £20m • Logistics Planning - Developing clear and comprehensible procedures and processes that ensured the smooth movement of all equipment along the UK supply chain to end users in various theatres\Countries• Liaison and Support - Establishing clear and robust communications with UK suppliers and UK based logistics organisations to optimise the supply chain • Governance - Continuous reviews of all Facilities and Logistics policies and direction in accordance with military management to ensure stringent governance throughout the supply chain, and by end users • Local Procurement and Contracts - Sourcing local procurement of ‘non stock’ items on behalf of the Defence chain, working within budgetary constraints and further initiating short and long term contracts from source of supply Show less
