Responsible for writing test plans and test cases for subsystems based on the requirements as well as creating XML scripts that reflected those cases. Executed functional, regression and performance tests on the SRS by running XML scripts and some batch processes in a UNIX environment using UNIX scripts. Worked on testing the GUI interface and validating the data using SQL queries. Used Mercury Test Director 7.2 to record and follow up on defects. Duties include testing and debugging applications based on the interpretation of detailed functional requirements. Specifically, designing, developing, reviewing and analyzing test enhancements, modifications, and SAT (Systems Acceptability Tests) identified defects, in addition to creating and analyzing test data to validate the fixes and updates. The validations were carried out using paper and electronic forms of entry using XML files, and results verified by querying the database using SQL. Working in collaboration with the development team in support of a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). Support testing activities as part of the Tax Reform Integration (INT) team in the 2019 filing season. Responsibilities include requirement analysis of user scenarios, writing test cases/test scripts, and preparing test data. This effort was successfully conducted to validate the interoperability of systems and associated interfaces required to support Tax Reform business functionality. Show less
