Tested, maintained and supported replacement of 161 kV and 500 kV substation breakers and controls. Calibrated plant power protective relays including the newest digital relays from SEL, ABB and Bassler. Supported the upgrade of WBNP’s 500 kV substation to a double breaker scheme. Assignments included writing and performing post modification acceptance tests. Prepared and performed post modification acceptance testing on replacement 161 kV and 500 kV SF6 breakers. Provided oversight for these tasks when required. Incorporated and tested major changes to existing high voltage substation control schemes. Provided electrical engineering support for power distribution problems inside WBNP.
