  I have always had the zeal to add value to my profile as an ongoing process, thus while I was pursuing my post graduation, I joined RWITC as a Veterinary & Dope Testing Officer at the Bombay/Pune RaceCourse. My core responsibilities were looking after the race horses and collecting samples on the racing days for dope testing in India & abroad.

  I continued to work in these two civil establishments until I completed my post graduation in Animal Nutrition and joined the Indian Army in August 1987. During this work stint too I was responsible for ensuring proper health care for the horses at the farm as a Veterinary Officer.

  It is nostalgic to write about my Military work-life, now that I am updating my profile on just the 2nd day post retirement!Through the magnificent 32+ years of my service, I competently managed people, policy & procedures, operations, training & development and veterinary healthcare. I have spent a larger part of my service in highly operational areas, commanding NCC units, leading a variety of research projects, establishing a first-ever Nutritional Lab and managing large scale military dairy farms. I have significantly contributed to grooming & training of junior/senior Officers and a considerable number of JCO/OR during the highly-regarded Instructor assignments. The military deliverables have not only given me an edge as a leader but also a comprehensive understanding of industry/business functions, implications and sharpened the decision making capacity.
