  Chief of staff and optimisation lead for the APAC IB Middle Office.Main aspects of the role include:- Strategic coordination of business planning for the IB Middle Office, a team covering all APAC markets and located across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. Products covered include fixed income and equity derivatives (OTC and ETD), cash equities, equity swaps and stock loan.- Management of strategic change initiatives, including representing the function in a product manager capacity on global working groups and managing the adoption of new initiatives across the region.- Leading automation initiatives for the region, including ownership of our tactical automation book of work. - New technology adoption, including identifying opportunities to apply emerging technologies such as generative AI. This is a team of 9, based across Sydney and Auckland providing front-to-back risk management and client service for the ANZ swaps and cash equity businesses and ANZ institutional clients.Main product areas covered were equity swaps and other derivatives, alongside cash equity trade flows in the Australia and New Zealand markets.Alongside day to day management, other key initiatives worked on during this time included the transition of tasks from Australia to lower cost locations, the decommissioning of a legacy cash equity system (Shares) and migration to its replacement platform (Syn), and the refactoring of legacy VBA automation tooling into Alteryx workflows. Show less Held a number of roles within this team, ranging from exception management within high volume, high STP PRT/CFD flows, to trade capture of more bespoke structured products.These roles involved facing off to clients (internal and external) and the booking of Delta 1 Equity Derivatives (primarily Equity Swaps, Futures and Forwards), Cash Equity trades and other Derivatives, including Interest Rate Swaps.Further aspects involved analysis and explanation of Delta risk, PnL and intersystem controls/reconciliations to Trading, Product Control (BUC), Market Risk and wider Operations teams.
