      Bristol Futures is a university-wide initiative which enhances and enriches the education at the University of Bristol. My role is to promote Bristol Futures and deliver workshops, and drop-ins and take part in developmental activities to help shape the direction of Bristol Futures. Although based within the Engineering faculty, I also carry out university-wide activities. Working in partnership with other students and staff at the University to understand and address the challenges faced by BAME students in an attempt to decolonise the curriculum. Helping create and deliver a programme of events and activities which will generate discussion, reflect minority voices and foster an inclusive, high achieving community. Giving University of Bristol campus tours. Assisting with welcome activities for new internationalstudents. Supporting cultural events organised by the Global Lounge team (part of the internationaloffice). Assisting with general office tasks and helping with university recruitment activities. To ensure that the student perspective is integral to all quality assurance processes, my role involvesbeing part of a panel that goes through a set of data and information about a School/Departmentor Faculty, interrogate it then speak to staff and students about the findings. Then help write a report of recommendations that goes back to the School to implement. Other responsibilities include contributing to curriculum development as part of Periodic Programme Revalidation. As a mentor you will work with us to organise and lead weekly online Happiness Hub meetings(using Zoom or a similar platform) for groups of up to eight students.
