  My project was to develop a mechanism- which will reduce required manpower and production time -for the deburring process of DiDash Board, used in Auto Industry.I used the SIMPLEX Process as the base to solve the problem. I analysed the Flow Chart of the production process and its timescale. Explored all the possible causes by Cause and Effect Analysis(Ishikawa Diagram). Traced the problem with Root Cause Analysis, drilled down with 5Whys. Used Pareto Analysis to group problems by root cause. Did Risk Analysis assessment. Further applied Decision Tree Analysis to select the best course of action. With the help of industry guide, teachers and project mate, we further used Constructive Controversy for developing well-rounded solution. We conducted several Plan-Do-Check-Act(PDCA)cycles before finetuning the solution. Presented final report of expected results with the help of Pilot Experiments. Show less
