  As Director of advice I am responsible for developing and delivering the strategy which ensures that Jisc provides relevant, high quality and impactful advice, guidance and opportunities for peer support that enhances Jisc’s reputation, adds value to the membership and ensures that we are achieving our strategic objectives to ‘empower communities’. I work with executive and senior level leaders from across both sector and product spaces to align the Jisc-wide advice offer with its commitments to its funders, owners and customers. I drive innovation in the delivery of advice across the business, utilising customer insight and usage data to focus both the content and delivery of advice to areas which align with known strategic priorities and audience needs. Show less I am responsible for ensuring that Jisc provides impactful support to all the further and higher education institutions across the UK that make up our membership to enable them to realise their digital ambitions. The function I lead provides thought leadership, advice and guidance, training and direct support to everyone from senior executives and leaders through to managers and practitioners and delivers it in innovative, effective and cost efficient ways. This support covers all of the aspects which need to come together to realise the successful move to digital enablement, from strategy and leadership development through to infrastructure, accessibility, teaching, learning and assessment and legal issues. We are currently bringing the benefits of this inter-disciplinary approach to bear in supporting universities and colleges as they seek to accelerate their move to online teaching, learning and business operations in the wake of the current Covid-19 pandemic. Show less I am currently on a secondment within Jisc where I am leading an initiative to establish Microsoft SharePoint online as the basis of our information management infrastructure. This has involved heading up an organisation-wide information audit and the creation of retention schedules and information asset registers to provide a sound IM-basis for the rollout of Team Sites across Jisc as collaborative and 'live' information management areas. I am currently working on the design and implementation of an innovative records management solution, also using SharePoint, which automatically manages content stored within Team Sites according to pre-defined rules based on the governance work we have completed to ensure a sound underpinning to our information architecture.
