  I was employed in the Irish Supreme Court as Judicial Assistant to then Chief Justice, The Hon. Mrs. Justice Susan Denham My duties included:• Assisting the Chief Justice by providing high-end legal research on points of law, comparative jurisdictional analysis and legislative updates at domestic and EU level.• Drafting briefing memos on submissions and court case papers prior to all cases on which the Chief Justice was sitting.• Researching relevant case-law and legislation for court hearings and reserved judgments.• Proofreading draft judgments, in particular regarding accuracy of citations and for redactions.• Accompanying the Chief Justice to Court at all times and taking notes of Counsels’ arguments.• Working with a team of judicial assistants in relation to updating the judicial intranet platform and contributing to judicial benchbooks and memoranda.• Welcoming government officials, foreign dignitaries and other guests to the Supreme Court chambers as well as liaising with other members of the judiciary, legal professionals, Court Service staff and members of the public on a daily basis.
