  As the Aviation Safety Officer, I am responsible for advising the Commander on all matters pertaining to safety, as well as risk mitigation and management. I am accountable for the supervision and implementation of the Commander’s Aviation Safety Program through inspections, surveys and training, as well as managing operations of safety programs to include Fire Prevention, Hearing Conservation, Environmental Compliance, and Personal Protective Equipment. I am also responsible for maintaining operational safety information for 8 AH64D Apache helicopters and their crews.
