      May 2021 - now

      - Manage the Freedom Fund’s Monitoring & Evaluation (MEL) function, leading on the development of tools, guidelines, and processes tailored to each hotspot's context and project-specific donor requirement. - Manage MEL consultancy teams across our different hotspots, hired with the purpose of enhancing our partners’ MEL capacity and ability to track progress against programmatic outcomes. Provide in-country MEL capacity building to over 100 grassroots organisations located in the Global South working on issues related to human trafficking and/or modern slavery.- Manage the development of research projects in Brazil and Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing mostly on the topics of commercial sexual exploitation of children and child domestic work, in close collaboration with local and international expert researchers —from grassroots organisations to world-leading universities— and collaborate on the development of robust research findings. Key achievements:- Built the MEL capacity of over 70 grassroots organisations across the Global South.- Contributed to the inclusion of people with lived experience in all phases of research projects within the anti-trafficking field.- Delivered the biggest international conference aimed at addressing gaps in how modern slavery research is often done without the involvement of people with lived experience.- Contributed to the advancement of evidence-based anti-trafficking public policies in Brazil. Show less - Developed monitoring & evaluation tools and processes for the FF’s hotspot programs. This implies reviewing the quality of quantitative and qualitative data submitted by hotspot partners, to support accurate and timely reporting to the Senior Management, the Board of Trustees, external donors and to be published on the FF’s website. It also implies constant development of new monitoring tools using mainly Excel, to comply with different funders’ reporting requirements. - Provided training to new FF partners on our global indicators and monitoring system and assisted them throughout the whole reporting process.- Assisted in the management of research projects dedicated to estimate the prevalence of commercial and sexual exploitation of children in Brazil and the behavioural drivers for sexual exploitation among male perpetrators in collaboration with local organisations.- Contribute to identifying new research and fundraising opportunities in line with the FF’s programming strategies in each hotspot, and to drafting research proposals.- Draft the FF’s monthly Research Bulletin, with the purpose of disseminating the latest findings on worldwide research and toolkits designed to tackle modern slavery.
